A firm of private investigators in Dunsfold, which "strives to develop" apprentices, has made it onto the shortlist of this year's Toast of Surrey Awards
Answers Investigation, based in Chiddingfold Road is a private investigator handling business which covers legal, private and international cases with in-house computer forensics and fingerprinting.
Nigel Parsons, private investigator, said it was a "privilege" to be shortlisted
He said: “We are a Surrey-based business and to us it is our heartland. It is a privilege to be a finalist in these awards.”
Mr Parsons said being shortlisted is the kind of recognition that can help overcome the negative perception people can sometimes have of the industry.
“There are many admirable large companies providing apprenticeship opportunities,” he said
“Answers Investigation are very much small business, and apprenticeship in small business is as relevant to us as it is to national firms
“We are the only private investigators in the country to provide this sort of opportunity and it is epitomised by Lauren Parker, who is five months into her year-long apprenticeship with us and who has already made her mark as a young, skilled and professional Investigator with a tremendous future
“We have seen Lauren develop her skills and her character, tempered by many adventures and many early morning starts
“Credit goes to Knights Training Academy, who mentor her apprenticeship and especially Jo McBrearty, her training manager.”
